Lifetime President of the Kalki Yatra Committee

Dr. U.C. Saxena has been serving as the Lifetime President of the Kalki Yatra Committee, a role that reflects his deep cultural and spiritual commitment. For over forty years, he has had the honor of inaugurating the annual Yatra. The Yatra is dedicated to Bhagwan Vishnu’s 10th avatar, Bhagwan Kalki, and Dr. Saxena has been actively involved in organizing the event for more than five decades, leading the community in worship (pooja-archana) and devotion.This long-standing dedication highlights his contribution not only as a doctor and social worker but also as a custodian of cultural and spiritual heritage.

Sambhal Ratna Award

On 31st July 2025, Dr. U.C. Saxena was honored with the prestigious Sambhal Ratna Award for his outstanding contributions to medicine, social service, and community development.

The award was presented by Hon’ble Minister Dharamveer Prajapati in the presence of District Magistrate Rajendra Pensiya, acknowledging Dr. Saxena’s decades of dedication to healthcare, cultural upliftment, and humanitarian initiatives in Sambhal and beyond.

This recognition stands as a testament to Dr. Saxena’s lifelong commitment to healing, educating, and inspiring society.

King George Medical College, Lucknow (KGMC) – 1966

Dr. U.C. Saxena completed his medical graduation in 1966 from the prestigious King George Medical College, Lucknow (KGMC), one of India’s leading medical institutions.

As part of the 1966 batch, he shared an academic journey with several eminent professors and medical professionals who went on to shape healthcare in India. Recently, Dr. Saxena reunited with his batch fellows and professors at the All India Ophthalmic Conference, where they engaged in meaningful exchanges on the latest advancements and knowledge sharing in the medical field. This legacy of lifelong learning reflects Dr. Saxena’s deep commitment to staying updated and contributing actively to the medical fraternity.

Large-Scale Tree Plantation Drive

At a prestigious ceremony organized by Dainik Jagran, Dr. U.C. Saxena was honored with the Achievers Award for his outstanding contribution in the field of medicine.

The award was presented to him by renowned Bollywood actress Mahima Chaudhry, adding a special cultural recognition to his decades of medical service and community impact.

This accolade highlights Dr. Saxena’s dedication not only as a physician but also as a humanitarian whose work continues to inspire many.

In a remarkable environmental initiative, Greenman Shri Vijaypal Baghel inaugurated a large-scale tree plantation program led by Dr. U.C. Saxena.

In its first phase alone, over 10,000 saplings were planted, marking a strong commitment to combating climate change and promoting sustainable living.

This initiative is part of Dr. Saxena’s lifelong mission to blend medicine with environmental stewardship, ensuring healthier futures for generations to come.

Dr. U.C. Saxena was honored at the General Knowledge Competition for his outstanding contributions as an office bearer and distinguished personality in the field of general knowledge and education.

Dr. U.C. Saxena devotedly sang bhajans during the Bhajan Sandhya program, organized at Chandayan — the night halt venue of the grand fair held in Sambhal after Diwali.
